Did You See Gertie n Me in Pics?
If you haven't seen my FUN "me n Gertie in pictures" page that Beloved declared 'good', but then said something like, "You know you're mad, don't you?" (you'll see why!) then just click HERE.
I'm going to try a different way of notifying about a new blog: by putting a short post up to say so, e.g.,
NEW BLOG UP, May 19, "Me n Gertie in Pictures".
I actually put them HERE first - big, big job as Blogger is NOT a very friendly place! All looking good until I actually VIEWED my efforts - horrified to find that every horizontal pic was part cut off at the RHS. I was NOT amused, as my Mum used to say!! Anyway I think they look okay in the webpage I did for them.
More soon!... *hoping!!!*

Am a Little Better!
I was SO incredbly down in energy yesterday that I suddenly thought of a couple of vertibrae he used to always be putting back in, round about the middle of my back. Nettie and I got to work, and today I'm happy to report that I'm back up to round about 'poor' *hehe!!!* which is quote okay to be at!! If you prayed, thankyou, cos I'm sure that thought about my back didn't just come out of the 'ether'!
Got a Message to pray about and write, and am quite tired, so gotta dash! (Oh and change the Blog date in me Sig!) Love ya!!

This Isn't Very Good...
I've been on a special "goop" as I call it, made from Aussie Aboriginals' Native Fruits etc. medicinals (plus other things) which has had me with a bit of oomph and even energy! I'm still taking it, but have drifted back down close to 'the bottom' - and today I've really crashed.
As our Doc considers I'm near the point of no return, and as it is obviously serious, I just thought I'd better let you know, for prayer. (Still waiting for full healing for us BOTH!!!)
Thanks dear ones!!

P.S. Gives Beloved more stuff to do to help me, but she's in poor shape too. We're sure a 'great pair' aren't we.....

Today is a Major Hallelujah!!
This has primarily been because of busyness with Messages. And as the Title says, today is such an amazing one for all of my "Inner Room" and "Reaching Higher" Messages!!! Because I FINALLY got to do a Major Message on Gospel for Asia!! "You know how I've wondered if it was EVER going to happen, Lord!! Blockage after blockage. But it's HAPPENED!!! Whoo-hoo! Thankyou SO much!!!"
And that Messages are now up - WITH URL's to GFA - is all due to Jeff's good heart - because prior to recently the Moderators have always prevented this or made it impossibly difficult.
And the BRILLIANT NEWS is that in the past 24 hours a total of 318 visits were made to the Inner Room thread!! This was a BIG jump over the previous day of 84, and is the 2nd highest daily total ever!! So I figure a LOT of people now know about how to GIVE TO THE NEEDY and GIVE TO HELP GET THE GOSPEL to the MOST UNREACHED in the 10/40 Window.
It's out of my hands now in the sense that obviously I cannot MAKE people follow these important steps. I know that many will put it off! Others will find reasons NOT to do anything, and so on... But I DARE TO BELIEVE THAT SOME WILL ACT!!!
Prayer updates for 'Sis' are regularly in the thread. Beloved has her piles of pain and lousy sleeps. I'm rather weak, but otherwise okay. And the front ramp for Gertruda should at last be done next week!
Love and hugs to all!!!!!

Next Messages + Beloved
They'll be strong, hopefully clear, and very practical as I share what Westerners can do that they are NOT doing!!
I'm praying for a GREAT RESPONSE to them!
After that I expect to FINALLY fulful my promise of showing how we can ALL get ourselves totally and seriously born again - after most of us were never shown/taught properly for this to effectively happen (took me 13 years to get there!)
Beloved is in such a bad state with pain virtually everywhere (scary!), doesn't know what to do with herself, whether to sit, stand, try to do a LITTLE physical, or what. She gets no relief 24 hrs every day. She's become my fragile flower, but suffering SO much. I'm sure I've said before that I daily pray the Lord to not overburden her with more than she can cope with - UNTIL OUR HEALING COMES!!
Keep those lovely Comments coming. Love all you guys!!!

Recent Message Topics
I don't believe I am my brother's keeper, in the sense that on the IR I present the truth clearly, and stronly if needed, but it's then the readers' responsibility as to what they're going to do with it (including nothing). Or to put it another way, if what they see a topic is about and don't want to read it because of not wanting to have to consider their response, that's not really my responsibility. Well that's how I see it, anyway.
My problem is that I CARE about that cos I want EVERYONE to grow in the truth, and act upon NEW truth, and become MATURE in the faith, and so on... Yes I know that's not possible, but it what drives me to keep ministering in the Inner Room thread.
Any comments, thoughts, whatever, VERY WELCOME!
Thanks!!

Update on Prev. Post re. Four Part Series in RH
Please rejoice with us! And "Thankyou, thankyou, THANKYOU PRECIOUS LORD!!"
Latest in the Four Part Series in RH
Tonight I've just put up Part 4 of the series about becoming less and less WORLDLY.
God will tell each person who SERIOUSLY seeks Him for an answer how for them to personally BEST OBEY HIS COMMANDS TO:
1) Help those IN NEED, and
2) Get the Gospel to the LEAST REACHED part of the whole world (Northern India)
I've written where our heart and ministry lies for both of these things: Gospel for Asia - and I'm hoping to write some more about this AMAZING organisation at http://gfa.org (a really really hard URL to remember!!! *hehe*
CFS Rules say that I can't put the link to their website in a post in the IR thread without I put a major Warning Notice at the end of it. As I'm not willing to do this I've said for folks to Google "Gospel for Asia" where they are the top entry - so just one click and you're there!
Do I think many will do this? Nope! Won't surprise me if NONE do (only God will know of course!) Because I've been VERY AWARE for some time of the very strong and maybe wilful UNWILLINGNESS of CFS folks to even evince interest, much less give money to the Lord this way. This feels to me like a SPIRITUAL barrier, a POWER against helping us evangelise dear folks there (hundreds of millions still unreached for Jesus!) Leaves me feeling SICK inside....
Goodness, I must stop and hit the bed!!
Love yez!

Here Are Some Things We've Done - Part 2a
REACHING HIGHER #9
Continued from "Reaching Higher" Message #8 - "Practical Ways to Become Less Worldly" - Part 1...
As I've sad, we'd both much prefer NOT to be writing this... We're no one special, not doing anything special. I hope some of you are doing BETTER than we are! God's had to work hard with us to get us to where we are. SO HE GETS ALL THE CREDIT!!
Okay, here's an admission I don't usually make - but a few decades ago I was dead set on becoming a millionaire. I knew I had the abilities, and I was going for it! Hmm... just one problem! God had other ideas. For a long long time He very LOVINGLY, but VERY DEFINITELY shot down every effort I made in this direction. I'm not kidding! I saw this clearly afterwards, of course - but at the time I was just a very, very frustrated man...
I wasn't as ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome back then, but still struggled with it. I certainly WAS intending to use the money for His work, but that still didn't fit with HIS will at all! Anyway, the day finally came when I "got the message" and quit all of these plans, with the result that we ended up both having to live solely on Government Disability Pensions.
Despite the low Pension amounts, we had not done anything serious about the question of our worldliness and love of the things of the world, even though it was something I was aware of. I was having to slowly move my mind-set (read: 'attitude'!) from riches, or at least a decent income and life-style, to much lower goals. But we still had the SAME ATTITUDE to money, possessions, comfort and ease and all the normal trappings of a Western Christian, just like everyone around us - unbelievers AND Christians alike!
Slowly though, we started considering our lavish life-style and riches compared to, say, an Indian "Untouchable" Dalit family living in lifetime SLAVERY to richer caste members. Why should we have all this comfort and ease, and all the things we owned? What we had wasn't that much perhaps, but compared to people in other countries, well, we were beginning to feel pretty awful about it all.
And so started our slow progression towards unworldliness. Here's a brief run-down with just some examples of our approach and attitude to this now. Beloved's recliner chair that she NEEDS to watch TV when too ill to do anything else had an important spring break under the seat. John who I've mentioned in the IR, kindly came and fixed it up with some fencing wire. It's still holding, so it's okay. Our car is now 30 yrs old, but gets from Point A to Point B just fine.
I'm sure you can see that this is all ATTITUDE! THAT'S the change. We have got materialism out of our hearts, minds, and sprits! It's GREAT! Such FREEDOM!! Our micro-wave we have to use all the time because of our health died last night. We replaced it today with the cheapest we could find the would work for us. If we could do without it, we'd NOT have replaced it, but made do with the oven and hot-plates. My watch-strap broke. We thought we'd have to spend (read 'waste') another 25 bucks to get a new one, but my clever Lady figured a way to stitch it back together. Still working fine!
Our TV and DVD were given to us. The TV is partly broken down, but we've worked our way round the problem fairly well, and so that's okay for now. Our carpets are wearing out, but have still got a fair few years left in them. Does it bother us that the house doesn't look as good as it did earlier on? It certainly used to, and sometimes still does, but we've slowly got used to living MORE SIMPLY (NONE of which was easy of course), and NOT having to have 'the best'. So we make do with old furniture. Beloved is very clever at making it 'sittable' in various ways, AND in keeping the whole place looking as nice as possible. Our life-style now is that WE SPEND MONEY ONLY IF IT HAS TO BE SPENT. So many times there's a cheaper way round the problem (even if it's a harder way!)
We live in a nice house that basically the Lord got for us 14 yrs ago in most unusual circumstances (through our State Government). It's actually a little too small for us, given our ill-health and difficulties of moving around, but we could never have expected to have a home like this! - and the DIFFICULTIES of it being just that tad small for our needs we accept from the Lord! Hardship and difficulty TEACH US MANY GREAT THINGS!
Read about the money we save with this wonderfully cheap house and the things above in the Conclusion in Part 2b below.
Here Are Some Things We've Done - Part 2b
REACHING HIGHER #9
... Continued from Reaching Higher Message #9 - Part 2a
Okay, on to THE SECOND RUNG OF THE LADDER IN ALL OF THIS. QUESTION: what do we do with the money we SAVE by living much more simply? -- We give it to the Lord! The more we can AVOID spending, the more He gets! Last Christmas we were able to give $1,041 to Dalit "Untouchables" in India (like the two dear little Dalit gals in the pics above) AND Indian Missionary Work there - all via Gospel for Asia (GFA), in our opinion one of the most incredible Mission works in the world! Here: http://gfa.org/
So not only are we more and more OBEYING two of the Lord's great COMMANDS: 1) Minister to those in need, and 2) Get the Gospel to all peoples - we're doing this by becoming LESS AND LESS WORLDLY!! Whoo-hooooooo!!! So is all of this hard? Well, yes, it's often difficult, no question, and it can and does 'COST'!! - just as the New Testament says that it will and should! But it's ultimately SO satisfying and feels SO good and SO right - and less and less we consider difficulties when we think of THE COST JESUS PAID that we (supposedly) remember and seriously consider at Eastertime!!!!
In seeking to become unworldly you don't need to do anything the same as us, of course. As you're changing your ATTITUDE, let the Lord be your guide to what is right for YOU! Oh, and you NEVER lose by any of this. God really is NO MAN'S DEBTOR. I hasten to add that we NEVER give so that we can GET (more), like some churches teach (how worldly this can be, and self-serving...) But we do keep seeming to have MORE left out of our meagre Pensions to enable us to give more to the Lord. We're now up to $50 a month going to GFA, every cent of which GETS to the Mission field! We specify each month what it's to go towards. More on this later.
SUMMARY: Our attitude to things and ease and comfort and the 'good life' is to do without them all wherever we can! This can cost! - but it STOPS us from conforming to the world like most everyone else lives. With the money this saves we can give LOVE GIFTS TO THE LORD - to help others! Will we ever go back to before? NO WAY! With every passing month our sights get less and less on this world, and more and more on being with the Lord for eternity!
So finally, this is GREAT for your Spiritual Growth!! (much less 'stuff' to hold it back!) For CHRISTIANS reading this we HIGHLY endorse moving towards a similar ATTITUDE of living amongst the dreadful and destructive worldliness of a Western World. Bless you as you pray about and consider this!

Glorious Easter Truths
From the Contemporary English Version: Romans 6:1-11
Dead to Sin but Alive because of Christ
1 What should we say? Should we keep on sinning, so that God's wonderful kindness will show up even better? 2 No, we should not! If we are dead to sin, how can we go on sinning? 3 Don't you know that all who share in Christ Jesus by being baptized also share in his death? 4 When we were baptized, we died and were buried with Christ. We were baptized, so that we would live a new life, as Christ was raised to life by the glory of God the Father.
5 If we shared in Jesus' death by being baptized, we will be raised to life with him. 6 We know that the persons we used to be were nailed to the cross with Jesus. This was done, so that our sinful bodies would no longer be the slaves of sin. 7 We know that sin doesn't have power over dead people.
8 As surely as we died with Christ, we believe we will also live with him. 9 We know that death no longer has any power over Christ. He died and was raised to life, never again to die. 10 When Christ died, he died for sin once and for all. But now he is alive, and he lives only for God. 11 In the same way, you must think of yourselves as dead to the power of sin. But Christ Jesus has given life to you, and you live for God.

Second Blog
Don't you just love how extremely "creative" the names of blogs are so far! (Anyone wanna guess the name of the next blog? *heee*)
Hey, we're already on holidays! - which for us means when we have NO CARERS for quite a few days in a row! We love the help from our current three ladies, but boy oh boy it's fabbo for it just to be 'us' for a number of days! Karen, our lovely carer who helps keep us alive and going, turns 50 tomorrow, so yesterday we celebrated with her during care time. She drove us to our most favourite local park, and here are some pics of our outing. Oh, hang about, before I do, I think I promised a pic of me and Gertie (aka Gertruda and also Gertrude!)
I've explained how having bad Chronic Fatigue Syndrome takes virtually all your energy and oomph away. So I can work for hours at the PC ONLY cos I'm in Gertie - and my legs, body, head, arms, and wrists are all supported and AT REST. Only my fingers do any work, and for some reason (probly God, hey!!) they can manage regular typing of emails, messages, and so on! So what you're seeing above is how I spend over half of my life - SO WONDERFUL, cos I just ADORE serving the Lord and serving others!!
Now where was I? Oh, our outing.
Here we go, in the park, with me pointing out the Birthday Girl!
Okay, I guess lets' do the whole family - my Love with K, as we call her, cos she's basically 'family'.
And finally, me in my 'outside' wheelchair, cuddling up! *mmm!!!*
I expect the next blog to be very, very different indeed - if what I have in mind is what Jesus wants. If you've been with me for any period of time, you know the drill by now: He seldom tells me beforehand what He wants me to do - which is absolutely fine and how it should be: 'living one day at a time by faith' and walking with the Spirit and led by Him.
What I'm expecting is to do a message in Reaching Higher about practical ways of diminishing our worldliness (which is KILLING our Christian walk), and then come here to tell you how we've done this. Feel a bit 'embarrassed' about doing that, but if it helps even one person, it will be worth it. "Over to you, Lord!"
Love and peace, everyone!

EDIT: Do click on Comments below (and even leave one!) cos they can often be as interesting as the actual Blog!!

First Blog! Welcome...
Man, things have gotten rough around here again. Started when I was "silly" enough to take on all the work of setting up Reaching Higher! No, I'm NOT sorry one bit for that, (there's still more for us to do!!), but did my computer HAVE to decide that right now is the time for it to get into a mess. I can still use it, but it plays up badly at times: one program I ran reckoned it had over 1,000 errors, and I don't doubt that for a moment!
I've enjoyed AND endured computers now for the past 27 years. Love em or hate em, hey! Used em to run a couple of businesses from home after I was retired out of the workforce cos of ill-health at 40. Later ran a small Computer Business also from home, until out health got worse and we had to stop. We had our own Christian Websites (2) in the early days of the Net starting - wrote all my own code for it, and we created all our own graphics too (nothing much good on the Net back then)!
And over the past 10 years or more of using Microsoft Windows (feels like 50!) we've proven that if you want to use your computer seriously and 'hard' like I do, AND use quite a number of programs to get the best out of it - THEN YOU'LL END UP PAYING A HIGH PRICE!! And we've paid it over and over again!
Now or soon, I'm gonna have to take on the mammoth task of sorting out the mess, and I'm sure not looking forward to THAT! It will take time away from here, and so I have had to PUT FORWARD my plans for writing how to become a seriously real Christian! My sincere apologies for that, but I don't think it's likely to be possible for the moment. Meantime, I'm ALREADY putting some good bits towards this in RH messages - for you to start chewing on and digesting!
And hey, no point sending an email to Microsoft about their dreafdul programs causing all this (quite unnecessary) fuss, cos I don't reckon they even KNOW how terrible their Windows-type programs are!! And they'd take no notice anyway!!
We're using XP Pro still, cos it is the best around. Vista was a disaster, and MS know it! But how did they manage to produce such a bummer!! And even charge money for it! Now they're hurriedly trying to get the next one to market. Trouble is, it will be just cobbled together like all their recent ones.
No, I lie. The first Windows I ever tried was Windows 3.0. IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE!! - unbelievably BAD that is. I also used to write 2 computer columns for a local mag back then (yup, I guess you could say that I am into computers), and I panned it unmercifully. So really, NOTHING'S CHANGED!!
The job I have to do on this PC I already did last year, or maybe it was 2007. That was when I had to "get inside" of XP Pro - AND there discovered what a hotch-potch it is! NO WONDER even the Tech guys can't fix your computer. Windows is so complex (and messy) that no one can understand it any more.
OH, AM I DEPRESSING YOU HERE? Sorry, just sounding off!!! Sure'nuff, I love what computers can do, but hate how terrible they are for going bung - usually at the worst possible time.
See, I couldn't have written the TRUTH about my computer on CFS, right! But here it's MY BLOG, and I can say what I like!!! In return, if you love Microsoft and their programs you can write a Comment back and tell me off for all the things I have wrong!! hehehe
Have I shown you a pic of me in Gertruda here are the PC? Probly not. I'll put it in next time if I remember. NEW BLOGS I'll always notify you of in the IR. You'll maybe also get a personal email addy here so you can email me if you want. And more...
See ya!

All About This Blog!
Secondly, unlike on CFS where we are serious about LEARNING and GROWING towards Maturity in Christ, HERE anything goes! (temporal or spiritual). For example, we'll share about us and our life - things maybe you don't know *hee!* We'll put up pics (like MAYBE a Wedding Pic - I said "maybe"...) We'll share ideas, thoughts, whatever. In fact pretty much anything at all!!
I will aim to make it interesting. It may partly be a very informal diary as blogs can be (i.e., so you can know what's going on in our lives, and what we're thinking and learning.)I RECKON
IT'S GONNA BE GREAT!!!

A Little About Us
I am a very happy man living with the one I call my Lady (or Beloved).
I'm now 70 years of age, a sincere Christian Believer for 51 years, and I am full-time in a Teaching Ministry of what the Word of God says to us today. I normally do this on a Christian Forum - currently on the best Christian Forum I've ever found: Christian Forum Site
